GUIDELINES FOR THE INTRODUCTION:

Each introduction should be no more than 45 seconds in length and should include:

  • The name of the presenter, your professional designations and your relation to the graduate.
  • The name of the graduate (see note below regarding when the CPA designation can be used in the introduction).
  • The graduate's degrees, designations, awards, etc.
  • The graduate's current employer and job title anything special you may wish to share with the audience about the graduate.

Example: My name is Jane Doe, CPA, and I am pleased to introduce my co-worker, graduate John Baker. John is employed at XYZ Company as a Controller. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with Honours, from the University of Regina. I have watched John work very hard over the past number of years to reach this milestone and am very proud of him for passing the CFE. Congratulations John Baker!

Important Note: Graduates can only use the CPA designation (for example, "John Doe, CPA") once they have been approved as members and received notification from CPA Saskatchewan. Please check with your graduate to determine whether you may use the CPA designation when making their introduction.
